The Festival of Trees is the major annual fundraiser of the Museum Guild. One week before December, the Museum hallways are transformed into a magical winter wonderland. The 2007 Festival of Trees was the most successful yet, generating over $18,000 with seventy trees adorning the halls of the Museum.
If you haven’t visited the Museum during the holiday season, you’re missing one of the most spectacular and colorful displays in the East Texas region! Several open house events are held the week before Christmas with entertainment and special events to add to the holiday spirit.
Special thanks go to Maria Davis, Rose Johnson and Anita Martin for chairing the trees in 2007. Funds raised by the Festival of Trees provide scholarships for Art Camp, watercolors for Celebrate Paint participants, needed technology for the Museum and much, much more. |
