Since its inception in 1976, the MET has become a dynamic cultural institution and provides far-reaching exhibitions from around the globe, allowing you to visit for an hour or bring the children or grandchildren for an afternoon of art and history. Membership at any level allows you to be a part of a distinctive group committed to nurturing and supporting the arts and humanities in Lufkin.

Because our members provide over one-third of the MET’s operating budget, we have been able to offer such great community programs as: Docent Guided Tours, Traveling Trunk Exhibits, Hands-On Activities, Have-a-Hug Workshops for At-Risk Students, Art Camp, Public Programming for Children and Adults and much more.

Our plans for expanding and sustaining the quality of our programs and regional outreach depend on new members like you. Please consider joining at the maximum level possible, which, of course, is tax-deductible as allowed by law. Your membership offers you, your spouse and family a 10% discount on summer Art Camp tuition and in the Museum Gift Shop. Additionally, members receive invitations to preview exciting exhibitions, Dinner and Dancing Under the Stars, Super Saturday events, the Festival of Trees at Christmastime, and our famous Gala celebrating all of our members in December.
