The Museum offers Traveling Trunks to reach students who can’t travel to the Museum. The Traveling Trunk program was developed in 1991. Curriculum materials, artifacts, replicas, student study guides and classroom project suggestions that are based on a cultural concept are included in each trunk. These are hands-on Museum exhibits that allow students to see, touch and discuss various concepts. Trunks are available at no cost to school groups, libraries and civic clubs and may be borrowed for up to two weeks at a time. Trunks based on the following themes are currently available:
