The Museum of East Texas hosts 4 free Super Saturday events a year. These events provide art activities and refreshment for guaranteed family fun! See our 2025 events below.
Vintage Valentines
February 8, 2-4 p.m.
Explore the history of Victorian-era cards as you craft your own. Try your hand at Pin-Prick cards, Pop-Up cards, and more!


Glow-in-the-Art
March 29, 2-4 p.m.
Get your neon colors ready and dive into black light and glow art projects! Create glow-in-the-dark masterpieces using glow pasta, glow puff paint, fluorescent paint. Plus, there will be glow ring toss and face painting!
Pumpkin Party
October 24, 5-7 p.m.
In collaboration with Boo Bash on the Plaza, the Museum of East Texas provides pumpkin painting, face painting, and lawn games. Bring your little ghouls, goblins, and superheroes to the Pitser Garrison Convention Center for a family-friendly Halloween celebration.


Family Day
December 7, 2-4 p.m.
Family Day at the Museum of East Texas is one of our favorite holiday traditions. Visit with Santa, take in the Festival of the Trees, create holiday crafts, enjoy refreshments, and find a treat at the Museum’s gift shop.
