The Museum of East Texas offers free field trips for all educators: Teachers, Home School Groups, Specialty Groups, Daycare, or Adult Care facilities. Field trips are designed to engage the visitors in the current exhibits and connect them to the art. Field trips will always cover several fine art TEKS. These docent-guided tours are two hours long and include an art project students can take home. Field Trips can accommodate up to 80 students.  Picnic blankets are available for lunch on the plaza.  Lufkin is home to 3 fantastic museums: the Museum of East Texas, the Naranjo Museum of Natural History and the Texas Forestry Museum.
