Festival of Trees Under Construction at the MET
The Twenty-Ninth Annual Festival of Trees is under construction and it promises to be a spectacular forest again this year! This event, which opens November 20 and ends January 6, 2024, is the Guild's largest and most colorful fundraiser. The Museum's entry and large gallery will be covered with over 100 trees ranging from 4 foot to 12 foot tall and representing various businesses, families, and organizations throughout Angelina County. It is a beautiful winter wonderland and will definitely put you in the holiday spirit! We welcome photos in front of the trees and hope you'll make this event part of your family Christmas tradition. Funds raised through sponsorships generate money for Art Camp Scholarships and other Museum needs throughout the year, so the philanthropic nature of this forest makes it all the more beautiful. We hope you'll visit us often and bring your friends and family. Be sure to tag us and this event in your social media posts with #metlufkin and #fotlufkin.
Special thanks to our tree committee: Jamie Zayler (co-chair); Colleen Murray (co-chair); Jessica Baker, Susan Belasco, Emily Goodwin, Mary Grimes, Bethany Hobbs, Lacey Luce, Lauren Luce, Jill West, and all of the amazing volunteers who make this beautiful event possible.
