Diving into Watercolor (Grades 1-2)

Class Description

Class Title: Diving into Watercolor Date: Thursday, April 24 Time: 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM Grade Level: 1st-2nd Grade Cost: $8 per class Supplies: All supplies provided Join us for an exciting afterschool art class designed for young artists in 1st-2nd grade! In these classes, students will learn art basics through a variety of media and learn a little art history along the way. No experience or prior art knowledge required! Classes will start promptly at 4pm, when you are able to drop off your child and pick them up by 5pm. We kindly request that all families ensure timely pickup of their children, as the Museum closes at 5pm. In this particular class, "Diving into Watercolor," students will learn basic watercolor techniques including: wet on dry, wet on wet, and wax-resist. They will use a combination of these skills to create an underwater-themed painting. With time permitting, students will share their creations with their other artist classmates.
